Valiant has an immediate need to fill the Security Manager/Facility Security Officer (FSO) position at our Fayetteville, NC office. This individual will report to the Chief Security Officer and have responsibility to lead and implement the DoD Industrial Security Program for our Fayetteville office, including responsibility for serving as Security Manager/FSO for the cleared entity headquartered there.

Requirements & Duties:

  • The Security Manager/FSO is responsible for coordinating and monitoring highly sensitive aspects of the DoD Industrial Security Program and security activities while ensuring compliance with Government and company security policies and procedures.
  • The Security Manager/FSO must have an understanding of the 32 CFR part 117 - National Industrial Security Manual (NISPOM Rule) and will have ownership for the development, implementation, and maintenance of security procedures as required by the department, and the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA).
  • Specific duties include support of the Army Intelligence and Security Command, Contract Security Classification Specification (DD254) and Program Classification Guides in accordance with security standards that may include Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF) as outlined in Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705, Intelligence Community Policy Guidance, IC Tech Spec-for ICD/ICS 705, and DoD Manual 5105.21 Volume 1-3.
  • The position requires a self-motivated candidate that is capable of working in an independent and/or team environment who possesses a positive attitude to do what it takes to meet the mission.
  • The position requires the confidence to make critical security decisions concerning the contracts and to implement security procedures that will contribute in expedited security vetting and obtaining the appropriate clearance eligibility.
  • This position will serve as the Security Manager/FSO, with ITPSO and CSSO duties.
  • Ensure all Corporate security compliance documentation is compliant
  • Maintain and manage DISS records for cleared personnel assigned to the security management office (SMO)
  • Conduct annual security self-inspections and support Corporate Security Peer Review programs, ensuring compliance with DCSA standards
  • Work as a team player, exhibit flexibility, and excellent organizational skills
  • Analyze moderate problems and provide focused solutions with the ability to effectively communicate with team management, and Corporate Security
  • Serve as the Security Risk Manager, and Business Continuity role/responsibilities.
  • Focal point of contact to conduct and manage security in-processing, indoctrinations, debriefings, pre/post travel briefings, and annual refresher briefings.
  • Commitment to delivering the highest value to both internal and external customers.
  • Provide clear security policies guidance and apply them to programs, as appropriate.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring security policies and procedures.
  • Assess, analyze, assist, and address security risk.
  • Maintain and manage the flow down of DD Form 254
  • Manage the facility access control, safes/locks, hardware, and doors.
  • Local travel to and from customer site, as required.

  • Active in-scope TS with the ability to upgrade to TS/SCI
  • Bachelor's Degree or 5-7+ years' experience in security field
  • Completed the required CDSE FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage and oversee comprehensive security program, coordinating and conducting periodic review of the cleared population and contracts related to the activity, information, system, and conditions of the overall security program, to include the Insider Threat program.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, superior attention to detail is a must with effective written and oral communications skills.
  • Working knowledge with DISS, NBIS, ACCS, and NISS. Experience with PSIP and SIMS is a plus.
