Primary Responsibilities

Based in our Phoenix office, the Structural EIT will maintain direct responsibility for producing structural calculations, checking structural calculations made by others, conducting structural investigations, and assisting in the preparation of structural drawings, reports, cost estimates and specifications for structural engineering projects. Project types include water/wastewater facilities, federal/military facilities, mining/industrial facilities, and vertical building design.

The Structural EIT will be expected to coordinate workload through preliminary and construction document phases to complete documents on schedule. Must be able to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate the ability to successfully work within multi-disciplined project teams. Work assignments may include tasks of varying scope carried out under the direct supervision of senior-level structural engineers. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
* EIT certification.
* Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, MathCad, SAP2000 or other finite element software.
* Knowledge of the International Building Code (IBC) and referenced standards.
* Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
* Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage several concurrent project schedules.
* Excellent analytical and technical skills.
* Ability to interact with design and construction teams in a positive and proactive manner.
* Physically able to climb ladders and walk on scaffolding for field inspections.
* An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture.

Preferred Qualifications

* Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or master's degree in Architectural Engineering with Structural Emphasis.
* Revit and Navisworks experience.
* Knowledge of ACI 350, AWWA D100, and API 650.
* Previous structural design experience.
* Previous experience with structural investigations and rehabilitation design.
