Work Schedule

The standard work schedule will be Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 5:00pm, Fridays 9:00am-6:00pm during the Academic Year. May be required to work evenings and weekends.

This position offers remote work allowing employees a combination of onsite and work from home options. The expected remote work schedule for this position is will be determined by the needs of the department.

Job Summary

The Instructional Services Coordinator Senior will work closely with the department chair to oversee the maintenance of existing programs and the creation of new strategic initiatives and training programs tailored to address changing demands in accounting and small business management. They will play a key role in managing the operations and development of the accounting and small business department, providing expertise, administering programs, and offering consultations to ensure the department runs smoothly.

In addition to these responsibilities, the Instructional Services Coordinator Senior will regularly undertake administrative duties, offer guidance and mentorship to student-entrepreneurs, organize and oversee pitch competitions, and contribute to ongoing efforts to develop new programs within the department.

Essential Functions

40% - Works closely with the Department Chair to maintain existing programs, and develops new strategic initiatives and training programs tailored to address changing demands of the programs and the department. This entails active participation in meetings, researching industry trends, and collaborating on program development strategies, student clubs, and organizations

30% - Supports the efficient operation of the department. This includes conducting evaluations and reviews of programs, policies, and procedures, and maintaining accurate records


10% - Offers guidance and mentorship to students with extracurricular and club activities, providing support and advice to help them develop their skills, navigate challenges, and succeed in their endeavors. This may involve one-on-one meetings, workshops, conferences, research projects, and networking events


10% - Organizes and oversees pitch competitions within the department. This includes planning and coordinating logistics, recruiting judges and mentors, promoting the event, and providing feedback to participants to help them refine their entrepreneurial ideas


10% - Other duties as assigned. Collaborates on projects with other departments students and instructors, such as but not limited to incarcerated reentry, dual, partnerships

Minimum Qualifications



Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in education, organizational development or directly related field and two years of related experience such as providing advanced program coordination and consultation that includes one or more of the following: planning, development, and/or implementing program projects and activities in area of assignment. A Master's Degree may be required for some assignments.

OR

An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.

Desired Qualifications

A. Ten (10) or more years of CPA qualification experience owning and operating small businesses
B. Three (3) or more years of teaching classes in-person, online, and in hybrid formats to a diverse student population
C. Knowledge of basic Prroject Management principles and practices
D. Three (3) or more years of supervisory experience
E. Expertise in coaching, mentoring, and running innovation challenge and pitch competitions
F. Experience with developing and writing grant proposals, and implementing grant deliverables
G. Experience in curriculum development

Special Working Conditions

May be required to lift of or carry up to 25 lbs. May be required to sit for a prolonged period of time; viewing a computer monitor
