Position Overview:

The IT Finance and Compliance Analyst partners with IT Leadership to maintain financial integrity and compliance across our accounting and compliance processes. Responsibilities include maintaining budget files and systems, coordinating, and leading monthly accounting activities and deliverables, invoice coding, and leading and/or execution of quarterly and annual IT General Control (ITGC) compliance activities.

Responsibilities
    Coordinates annual IT department budget development process and quarterly forecasts with IT Leadership Team.
  • Conducts financial analysis and reporting for operating budget and technology capital projects.
  • Monitors and reports IT spend through various channels to IT Leadership.
  • Leads month-end accounting close process for IT.
    • Prepares and submits IT accruals.
    • Assists in preparing and submitting variance explanations.
    • Ensures AP invoice queue is processed.
  • Codes invoices and updates supporting spreadsheets.
  • Create purchase requisitions.
  • Manages IT asset reviews and works with IT Leadership to create and receive IT fixed assets
  • Manages project accounting activities to track both operating and capital expenditures against budget.
  • Manages the ITGC quarterly and annual SOX audit control reviews, developing repeatable processes to ensure that required deliverables are met.
  • Works with internal and external auditors to coordinate interim and year-end ITGC audit activities.
  • Identifies process inefficiencies, develops, and implements solutions to eliminate or minimize identified inefficiencies
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Education / Experience

  • Associate degree in accounting and (5) years' experience in (General Accounting/Finance/Audit) - or -
  • Bachelor's degree in (Accounting or Finance), or related field and (3) years' of experience in (General Accounting/Finance/Audit) (preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience and skills with General Accounting or Finance.
    • Knowledge base and experience working for a publicly traded company or financial institution (preferred)
  • Advance knowledge of MS Excel, (required)
    • Pivot Tables and VLookUp function
  • Working knowledge of MS productivity tools (Word, Power Point, Teams) experience (preferred)
    • Creation of documents and power points
    • Daily usage of Teams
  • Experience with cloud-based enterprise accounting software (Preferred: PeopleSoft and OneStream)

Skills

  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of personal computer software applications including Microsoft productivity tools, as well as general ledger accounting.
  • Analytical skills required to identify and resolve problems effectively.
  • Demonstrated precise, effective, error-free writing skills, Strong attention to detail.
  • Organize, plan, prioritize and follow through on work using basic time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and conflict resolution skills

Work Environment

  • Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment when on site at assigned company location. Employees must be able to safely ambulate when on company premises.
  • Remote and hybrid (remote and onsite) worksites are available; Employees must meet minimum technical standards for eligibility and participation.
  • Pay Range $75,000-84,000/yr (depending on experience)
