This position is located in Chandler, AZ and will also support our branches in Globe, Scottsdale N. Scottsdale Rd & Rte. 101 and Scottsdale Old Town.

SUMMARY

Primary responsibility is to administer trust accounts, estates, investment agency, and IRA accounts in accordance with legal documents, provisions of state law and appropriate policies and procedures. Service and sales responsibilities are key components of this position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintain and administer a full load of existing accounts in full compliance with bank policies and procedures, applicable state laws, account documents, and regulations established by the Federal Reserve and the State Banking Commissioner.
  • Review and maintain familiarity with all relevant information for assigned accounts including financial and tax status, risk tolerances, investment objectives and cash flow needs. This includes completion of initial, special, and annual account review for assigned accounts.
  • Assist and support Wealth Advisor in developing new client relationships and in expanding existing Wealth Management and First Interstate Bank client relationships.
  • Assist Wealth Advisor in completing account service calls in accordance with departmental standards to retain and expand current client relationships.
  • Provide prompt response to all customer inquiries and requests.
  • Maintain client account holdings and transaction records and file documentation in such order that files may be readily reviewed. Reports will be completed, and files organized to facilitate an analysis of client relationships, needs met, and services provided.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other Business degree. Prior experience in banking, trust, investment, accounting or law is preferred.

OTHER SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to work well with co-workers. Ability to properly prioritize workload and remain adaptable under pressure. Pay close attention to detail. Computer skills essential. Experience with MS Work and MS Excel required. Experience with MS PowerPoint helpful.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend technical instructions, correspondence, memos, policies and procedures and laws and regulations. Ability to read policy and procedure manuals. Ability to write complex correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Effectively communicate with supervisor.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area etc. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and sit. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
