Overall Purpose

This position will be responsible for defining and managing the change governance process and risk related controls associated with the evolution and publication of operating rules and other customer facing documentation supporting the company's data products and services. In addition, this individual will lead a high performing technical writing team with responsibilities to create, maintain and publish high quality customer facing documentation in accordance with the change governance process.

Essential Functions

  • Provides effective leadership in developing highly engaged, high-performance Teams.
  • Drive oversight and execution of our change governance and document publication processes, ensuring they comply with defined control requirements as we deliver operating rules and product documents in support of new capabilities and services to our participants.
  • Manage governance timeline deliverables across functional teams to monitor and report to leadership on process milestones, action items and deliverables, and raise/action risks as appropriate.
  • Manage processes and resources delivering a wide variety of technical and business product documentation across multiple media formats (PDF, online / web, application-embedded content, etc.), ensuring content is created, stored and published in accordance with established risk controls and governance procedures.
  • Manage communications channels in partnership with product and marketing teams to inform participants as new product and rules documentation are published.
  • Enforce access controls and permissions re governance and product documentation, ensuring external users have only the access required by contract/function in support of information security and risk controls.
  • Action improvement opportunities to streamline and automate our governance and documentation processes, evolving as necessary to meet changing business needs and ensuring an efficient and transparent set of processes.
  • Support company initiatives and ensure alignment with the strategic plan, other network requirements and compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Support the company's commitment to risk management and protecting the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education and/or experience typically obtained through completion of a Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years experience in financial industry, preferably in process management or product governance functions
  • Minimum 3 years prior personnel management and leadership experience including one or more years supervising others, assigning and overseeing work, providing performance feedback, hiring, etc.
  • Strong process management and organizational skills, with ability to prioritize tasks for themselves and their team and achieve objectives in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated experience developing business and technical documentation
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills to build partnerships at all levels of the organization
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization and customers
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to frame recommendations for a variety of audiences
  • Proactive self-starter with ability to work independently
  • Unyielding commitment to highest professional ethics
  • Background and drug screen.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in operational risk and risk management a plus
  • Experience with developing technical documentation for software technology products and services a plus

Physical Requirements

Working conditions consist of a normal office environment. Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and involves sitting for periods of approximately four hours. Work may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching. Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently. Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment including personal computers. Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers.

The pay scale for this position in:

Phoenix, AZ in USD per year is: $140,000 - $160,000.
