DX Operational Intelligence (DX OI) Services Consultant / (Federal)

The DX OI Services Consultant will support a Federal customer on-site and/or remotely within the United States. The consultant will assist in the hands-on implementation, operations, administration, and support of the Broadcom DX OI product.

Job Responsibilities / Primary Functions:

  • Deploy and configure Broadcom DX OI to meet customer needs

  • Act as a Trusted Advisor to both Customer and Broadcom

  • Work with Broadcom and Customer's senior management to identify objectives and strategies to promote usage & value of Broadcom solutions

  • Lead implementation efforts through Assessment of Technical Objectives, Constraints, Business Objectives, Regulatory Requirements and Budget to effectively deliver product solutions that adhere to Best Practices

  • Lead the Deployment, Configuration and Integration of Software in both Pilot and Production capacity, and assist with validation against success criteria

  • Create and troubleshoot Technical and Business Process issues, including root-cause analysis

  • Interact with Technical Support and Product Engineering to Open, Track and Resolve Product issues

  • Work closely with Product Management and Product Engineering to learn then apply new product features/functions

  • Lead ongoing maintenance and improvement of methodologies and document templates

  • Assists and supports all testing for all product releases.

  • Continually researching, studying and evaluating to optimize and improve infrastructure and performance.

  • Create documents and keeps current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Configuration Management (CM) procedures and guidance to provide consistency of application performance and functionality.

  • Install and configure new dashboards and research additional solutions and make recommendations.

  • Required to periodically create, deliver and make presentations with necessary materials to support project with concise details and information geared to applicable audience.

  • Provide Capacity Planning and Predictive Forecasts for proactive operationaldecisions

  • Experiencewith Service Assurance providing a unifiedview of business services' health and availabilityacross multiple business domains

  • Integration of root cause alarms with Notifications using ServiceNow (or similar).

  • Knowledge of API to ingest data such as topology, metrics, traces, alarms, logs using integrations and third-party sources

Technical Requirements:

  • In-depth knowledge of enterprise application architectures, including application, infrastructure, and networking components

  • Understanding of private, hybrid, and public cloud deployment methodologies and technologies

  • Familiarity with key public cloud offerings (i.e. AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)

  • Good understanding of container orchestration, i.e. Kubernetes

  • Understanding of monitoring tools landscape and techniques for application, infrastructure, and network monitoring

  • Conveying experience and industry best practice in Architecting, Designing, Implementation and support of DX OI

  • Experience and/or deep familiarity with monitoring and operations strategies, including event/alarm management and ticketing and triage procedures

  • Experience with DX Application Performance Management (APM) either "On-Premise" or "SaaS" as a senior implementation specialist - Strongly Desired

  • Experience with DX App Synthetic Monitor (ASM) - Strongly Desired

  • Familiar with Capacity Planning and Predictive Forecasts for proactive operationaldecisions

  • Experiencewith Service Assurance providing a unifiedview of business services' health and availabilityacross multiple business domains

  • Integration of root cause alarms with Notifications using ServiceNow (or similar).

  • Knowledge of API to ingest data such as topology, metrics, traces, alarms, logs using integrations and third-party sources

Must have expertise in the following areas with 3-5 years' experience in each area:

  • Good understanding of container orchestration, i.e. Kubernetes

  • Understanding of monitoring tools landscape and techniques for application, infrastructure, and network monitoring

  • Ideally, an In-depth knowledge of at least one of Broadcom's core monitoring offerings.

  • Experience and/or deep familiarity with monitoring and operations strategies, including event/alarm management and ticketing and triage procedures

  • Experience with DX Application Performance Management (APM) either "On-Premise" or "SaaS" as a senior implementation specialist - Strongly Desired

  • Experience with DX App Synthetic Monitor (ASM) - Strongly Desired

  • Familiar with Capacity Planning and Predictive Forecasts for proactive operationaldecisions

  • Experiencewith Service Assurance providing a unifiedview of business services' health and availabilityacross multiple business domains

  • Integration of root cause alarms with Notifications using ServiceNow (or similar).

  • Knowledge of API to ingest data such as topology, metrics, traces, alarms, logs using integrations and third-party sources

  • Knowledge and experience with scheduled or on-demand reports to distribute across teams

  • Experience migrating CA Customer Experience Management (CEM) to Business Payload Analyzer (BPA) - Desired

  • Working understanding of databases (Microsoft SQL, Oracle, PostGres SQL)

  • Working understanding of Java WebSphere Portal and .Net portal - Desired

  • Current/Prior Broadcom Software technology certification - Desired

Non-technical Experience Needed:

  • Able to clearly communicate verbally and in written form - articulating complex thoughts and ideas in small or large group settings.

  • Able to work well in a collaborative team environment with various personalities

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills including heavy telephone and email communications; ability to clearly and precisely provide scope of project status, additional needs and identify problem areas.

  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills with an ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

  • The ability to work under light supervision, as a self-starter and show progress in the project and/or tasks as outlined is paramount to the success of this position.

Education/Training/Additional Experience Needed:

  • Bachelors' Degree in Information Technology, Computer Programming, Java Programming, Security Technology or other related coursework is strongly preferred and + 8+ years of related experience.

  • Experience in large-scale system integration projects is a must.

  • Experience with Agile framework (preferably SAFe 4.5) with the ability transform an idea or a requirement into a tangible product for the end-users.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to provide proof of identity and ability to legally work in the United States.

  • Must be willing to undergo a thorough background investigation and successfully obtain a 'DoD Secret' clearance.

  • This is a hybrid work position and periodic travel will be needed.

  • DoD 8570 Baseline certification as a requirement for this project.

Additional Job Description:

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $91,200- $152,000.

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
