The role reports to the Operations Manager and is located in Tucson, Arizona. As a Winder B 0CP R14 R18 Pr, you will be responsible for performing complex operations such as customer interaction and reporting, rewinding, repairing, reassembling and testing large-sized DC armatures, AC stators and rotors, etc. with minimal supervision. Able to work independently and meet delivery criteria and timetables.

Your responsibilities

  • Performs operations such as rewinding, repairing, reassembling and testing large-sizedDC armatures, AC stators and rotors, etc
  • Performs related duties as assigned such as assisting on the larger or more complicated units
  • May dismantle and repair commutators and collector rings as well as to band rotating equipment
  • Understand and perform LOTO duties
  • May be required to work overtime, various shifts, holidays and weekends
  • Travel to job Sites - Some extended/overnight travel
Your background

  • High School Diploma or GED and 10 Years industrial experience
  • Familiarity with machine shop practices and safety observation
  • Eligibility Requirements: Able to read and interpret blueprint drawings
  • Able to use/read common shop gauges and micrometers
  • Able to maintain complete paperwork and time reporting
  • Able to accurately perform extended hand work which requires moderate strength
  • Able to travel and complete overnight stays
  • Very good mechanical skills and knowledge of hand tools a must
  • Hydro-Electric experience highly desirable
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
