LOCATION: Kingman, Arizona

STATUS: FT 40hrs/wk semi-flex schedule

The Salvation Army operates Service Centers throughout the Southwest. This position will maintain services and actively promote The Salvation Army within the community. The coordinator will manage and supervise daily social service assistance programs, including performing case management for clients as needed. The coordinator will work with the Divisional Service Extension Director to oversee the Advisory Council and represent the organization to community partners. The coordinator will also recruit, manage, and retain volunteers. It is imperative that the coordinator actively seek local funding sources through grants, events, annual kettle campaigns and other sources as identified. This position is also responsible for managing TSA established events throughout the year, such as Back to School, Christmas assistance, camping programs, Heat Relief, and any other newly identified programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Some college coursework preferred
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Minimum 2 years supervisory experience
  • Minimum 1 year social service experience
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude, with ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds and circumstances
  • Able to maintain a non-judgement attitude, professional approach and boundaries with clients
  • Ability to assess at risk participants and situations
  • Maintain a good rapport and communication with staff, volunteers, vendors, and the public
  • Ability to maintain a calm demeanor in stressful situations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Must pass a criminal background check
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive client data
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and TEAMS
  • Position requires reliable transportation
  • Must maintain AZ driver's license, registration, and proof of insurance, with a clean driving record
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Complete TSA Fleet, Protect the Mission, & Anti-Harassment e-training within the first 5 days of employment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
