Position Highlights | The Program Assessment Professional is a 12-month, full-time professional appointment created to evaluate academic program assessment of student learning within the College of Applied Science & Technology (CAST). The role will also involve participating in and representing CAST in campus-wide program assessment committees. The Program Assessment Professional will work with relevant faculty and staff in CAST to implement academic program evaluation plans, ensuring that program activities and services further the programs' goals and objectives. They will support educational and administrative program reviews and activities demonstrating program effectiveness. They will collaboratively develop customized and timely assessment protocols and other analyses that can be used to inform program assessment. The Program Assessment Professional will report to the Assistant Dean, Curricular and Academic Affairs and support students, faculty, staff, and administrators with college-specific program assessment initiatives. They will also collaborate with program assessment faculty and staff across the University. The University of Arizona's College of Applied Science and Technology (CAST) is the only UA college offering the Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) Degree. CAST education is facilitated by the college's one-of-a-kind Virtual Learning Environment that includes CyberApolis, a unique virtual city of 15,000 AI-driven bots who conduct business, engage in cyber media, and demonstrate human vulnerabilities that support scenarios in our classes. CIIO's Cyber Operations program was ranked the #1 online undergraduate cybersecurity program by Academic Influence. In addition, CIIO is home to a National Security Agency (NSA) designated Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Operations (CAE-CO) and an Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) designated Intelligence Community Center of Academic Excellence (IC-CAE). Duties & Responsibilities |
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to design and implement program assessment frameworks tailored to the needs of the College of Applied Science & Technology (CAST), ensuring alignment with industry best practices. Competency in utilizing statistical software and qualitative analysis tools to analyze program assessment data effectively. Understanding of reporting standards and guidelines for program assessment in academic settings. Ability to synthesize and analyze quantitative and qualitative data and prepare and present reports effectively. Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work with diverse university community members, including students, faculty, staff, and administrators. |
