Job Summary

This position coordinates, administers and implements Dual Enrollment and Early College programs by providing operational planning, program management and evaluation, problem-resolution and technical assistance for current and prospective program participants. Position provides one-stop student services access for program participants including admissions, placement testing, financial aid information, academic advisement, and referrals to related services. Position typically has significant responsibility for advising students and parents regarding various college programs and student service functions.

Essential Functions

45% - Plans, implements, and coordinates campus based enrichment programs for current students and college-bound K-12 and general population students by assisting in all student services processes including; academic advisement, admissions, data entry, registration, testing, orientation, mentoring, fiscal functions, financial aid, campus tours, recruitment and retention activities; assists students regarding degree and graduation requirements, various certificate programs, university transfer requirements, corresponds with students to resolve problems related to student service functions; coordinates and provides services for participating in Dual Enrollment and Early College students and their parents/guardian as well as tracking academic progress from middle school to high school graduation through the community college transfer process to the university; represents the college in various recruitment activities, events, student services activities and retention based programming, both on and off campus; travels to and represents the college at local high schools, community and other recruitment related events, while delivering small and large group presentations on and off campus along with online.

20% - Prepares materials and communication mediums by assisting with the development of recruitment and advisement related materials and presentations; organizes and distributes information as necessary, assists students in program planning and course selection through the interpretation of placement tests.

25% - Monitors and maintains an appropriate campus outreach and retention based environment for college students, their school age children, and the community at large by maintaining accurate records, assisting students with follow-up activities, responding to prospective student inquiries; enforces and/or explains federal, state, district and/or local policies; provides information to students, parents and other stakeholders regarding various student services and academic/occupational/workforce development programs; represents Dual Enrollment and Early College programs and participates in meetings; assists in student activities and participates in program events; serves as primary liaison for concurrently enrolled students, Dual and Early College Programs and their parents/guardians.

10% - Assists with special projects as assigned; performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution and two years of student services or college teaching experience, or experience coordinating, administering, planning, or evaluating programs.

OR

An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation.

Desired Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's or higher earned degree from a regionally accredited institution
  2. Experience coordinating and implementing student success or retention-based workshops
  3. Experience in at least one student services functional area such as recruitment, advisement, student life, testing, Dual Enrollment, ACE or financial aid, etc.
  4. Experience planning and coordinating events
  5. Experience with an on-line student information system
