Position Summary:

The primary purpose of the cardiovascular program coordinator position is to assist the Surgical Director in the implementation and coordination of the cardiovascular program and services. Additionally provides leadership by working cooperatively and effectively with physicians, ancillary staff and other administrative and support personnel in maintaining the standards of surgical practice in the multidisciplinary clinical setting.

Reports to: Clinical Nurse Manager/Director

FLSA: Non-exempt

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent Required
Minimum Education
Associate's degree Preferred
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Required Skills
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BCLS) within 30 days of hire
Surgical Tech Certification required on hire
NBSTSA First Assist Certification

Competency:
Arterial Line Placement within 6 months of hire.
