The University of Arizona Cancer Center (UACC) is a National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated comprehensive cancer center dedicated to the prevention and cure of cancer through patient care, research, and education. The UACC has recently been re-designated as a National Cancer Institute Comprehensive Cancer Center. The UACC is the only NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center headquartered in the State of Arizona and one of only 53 in the nation. The One Health initiative in conjunction with the Integrative Cancer Scholars NCI Training Grant seeks a talented Postdoctoral Research Associate to pursue innovative research projects that encompass cancer and One Health issues. One Health is a collaborative, multisectoral, and transdisciplinary approach with the goal of achieving optimal health outcomes, recognizing the interconnection between people, animals, plants, and their shared environment. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and independent individual with an established track record of cancer-focused research achievement (basic, translational, or clinical). Candidates must have completed projects with a One Health focus at the intersection of environmental, human, and animal health, with at least two elements integral to the project. Interested applicants should have an MD or PhD in biomedical sciences, and expertise in cancer biology, chemistry, and/or molecular and cellular biology laboratory techniques. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
