Description
Under the general guidance of the physicians/providers performs a variety of diagnostic ultrasonographic procedures.
Receives patients, explains method of procedure and makes sure patient is comfortable.
Provides patient services to all ages using imaging modalities.
Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices.
Maintains equipment and supplies and organizes work area.
Keeps accurate records, helps with scheduling of the ultrasound and keeps patient flow smooth.

Qualifications
Minimum Education
High School Diploma or equivalent x PreferredGraduate of an accredited ultrasound program. X Required
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS)-American Heart Association X RequiredIf BLS is not with American Heart Association, the employee has 30 days to obtain it.RDMS Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Eligible up on hireImage Gently and Image Wisely Certifications within 30 days of hireRDMS Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer on any discipline - (AB) Abdomen, (BR) Breast (OB/GYN) Obstetrics & Gynecology -- Must obtain within 12 months from date of hireRDMS on the two left (AB) Abdomen, (BR) Breast (OB/GYN) Obstetrics & Gynecology -Must obtain within 18 months from date of hireRVT Registered Vascular Technologist - Must obtain within 24 months from date of hire
Minimum Work Experience
2 years of experience preferred
