Position Highlights | The Department of Psychiatry seeks qualified applicants for a full-time faculty position. The successful applicant will be prepared to launch and maintain a successful extramurally funded career in behavioral health research. The incumbent will be appointed at a rank commensurate with their research experience. Our growing research programs in Psychiatry and Clinical Neurosciences seek to expand investigation in the study of sleep health, insomnia, and related conditions. In addition to sleep health, the seven research priorities for the department of psychiatry include: 1) Mood and anxiety disorders; 2) Community mental health and prevention 3) Psychotic-spectrum disorders (in particular, First Episode Psychosis); 4) Late-life mental health; 5) Child and adolescent mental health; 6) Suicide prevention; and 7) Addiction. It is strongly preferred that this position will have a focus on sleep health that intersects with at least one of these other seven focus areas. This multidisciplinary approach is aligned with the Department and the College of Medicine's strong interest in facilitating team science and promoting novel scientific approaches to complex behavioral health problems. |
