We are looking for an Advanced Practice Provider that focuses on bringing understanding and peace to patients and their families during what may seem like a confusing and challenging time.

Please note that we have XX opening for our LOCATION clinic. This will be filled by either a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, depending on best fit for the clinic. Please apply here if you are interested in either position.

Responsibilities

In your job, you will have the ability to make a difference in a patient's journey by:

  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for individual patients; provide education.
  • Assist physicians and perform procedures as needed; conduct patient assessments and provide physician with information prior to seeing the patient.
  • Complete patient office bill.
  • Initiate and document appropriate interventions; evaluate and record patient/family response within practice protocol; prescribe drug therapies per protocol/physician consultation.
  • May supervise the activities of clinical nursing and support staff.
  • Provide case management for oncology clients and their families.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications for Nurse Practitioner:

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program for nursing education and successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education.
  • RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
  • Current state licensure as Nurse Practitioner.
  • Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.

Minimum Qualifications for Physician Assistant:

  • Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) certification.
  • Current state license as a Physician Assistant in practicing state.
  • Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.

What You Bring to the Team:

  • ACON preferred.
  • Incorporate evidence-based research into clinical practice.
  • Knowledgeable of reimbursement procedures and documentation requirements.
  • Knowledge of community resources to meet patient and family needs.
  • Knowledge of mentoring new mid-level providers.

The safety of our patients and staff is our top priority. Masks may be required in all Arizona Oncology facilities regardless of vaccination status. Candidates who accept employment including current employees who are applying for internal positions, are required to provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination prior to their start date.
