QuarterLine is currently seeking full time, Athletic Trainers to join our team at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base located near Tucson, Arizona. As an employee of QuarterLine, you will have the opportunity to treat active duty personnel, military retirees, eligible veterans, and their enrolled family members at the 355th Medical Group.

About:

The 355th Medical Group ensures combat medical readiness of the Desert Lightning Team for global contingencies. With an authorized staff of 407 and a resource allocation totaling $26 million, the Medical Group ensures that warriors at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base are medically fit-to-fight. In addition to training and equipping and manning 25 mobility teams, we strive to promote the health and wellness of the Davis-Monthan community by meeting the health care needs of our 47,000 eligible Department of Defense beneficiaries. The Desert Lightening Medics also promote preventive medicine programs to maintain maximum Air Force readiness and monitor the environment and occupational work areas for hazards while supporting worldwide contingency operations.

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform a full range of Certified Athletic Trainer duties. All services performed shall fall within those guidelines established by the National Athletic Trainers Association, American College of Sports Medicine, and American Medical Society for Sports Medicine.
  • Prevent, recognize, treat and rehabilitate injuries.
  • Provide evaluation and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries incurred, including, but not limited to the following: progressive resistance exercise (PRE), open and closed chain kinetic exercises, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF), manual therapy and joint mobilization, hydrotherapy, hydrocollator, cryotherapy, ultrasound, phonophoresis, iontophoresis, and all varieties of muscle stimulation.
  • Provide treatment for soft tissue damage, acute and chronic edema, post-surgical edema, muscle atrophy, pain, overuse injuries, decreased circulation and loss of strength due to injury or biomechanical imbalance.
  • Provide emergency first aid, evaluation and treatment of injuries, and aid in preliminary diagnosis to include recognition of severity of injury, rendering initial treatment and performing initial examination.
  • Design and fabricate protective pads, equipment and braces for the prevention and treatment of injuries including the use of proper taping techniques.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree: Bachelor's Degree.
  • Education: Graduate from a college or university accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).
  • Certification: Possess and maintain a current Certification in Athletic Training through the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) Board of Certification (BOC).
  • Experience: One year of experience as a Certified Athletic Trainer after graduation.
  • Citizenship:
    • U.S. citizenship.
  • Credentialing:
    • Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
    • Current physical and immunizations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with the military population.

Work Location/Hours & Physical Requirements:

  • Physical Requirements: The environment is fast-paced and multifaceted, with conditions and duties that can change quickly throughout a shift.
  • Hours of Performance: The performance hours of the MTF are Monday through Friday generally between the hours of 0800 to 1700.
