Position Summary | The Office of Communications at the University of Arizona Health Sciences is seeking a highly qualified professional for the role of Director, Communications/Digital Content and Media Relations, who will be responsible for planning and executing an external communications strategy that engages target audiences with tailored written content to advance the University of Arizona Health Sciences brand and strategic initiatives. Reporting to the Executive Director for Communications and Brand Promotion, this position will develop and implement a strategy to create compelling content for owned and earned media. This position is responsible for executing and overseeing writing, editing, production and pitching of optimized content that promotes the Health Sciences brand, strategic initiatives, research and accomplishments. Through the creation of full-package stories for owned platforms and news releases/advisories/pitches, the position will promote signature content for the brand. The position will work with traditional media and niche online publishers to expand reach. This position will oversee a Manager, Communications/Digital Content and Media relations, who will help execute the strategy through thematic content development. This position will work collaboratively with the Director, Communications/Video Content and other team members in the Office of Communications to ensure optimization of content and outcomes.
