Position Summary

The Office of Communications at the University of Arizona Health Sciences is seeking a highly qualified professional for the role of Digital and Social Analytics Manager who will measure and report on earned, owned and social media performance, provide insights on opportunities for content and campaign enhancement, and help transition the department into a culture of data-driven decision making in support of Health Sciences brand marketing strategies.

The University of Arizona is in the process of creating a new classification and compensation architecture. This University Career Architecture Project (UCAP) will revolutionize the way we think about professions and manage compensation at the UA. Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of available data across all digital and social media channels and how they can be used for improving performance and solving problems.
  • Interact with dashboards, create reports that measure and monitor digital and social media progress against goals, and perform ad hoc analysis diving into the impact of individual pieces of content and campaigns.
  • Work with UI/UX strategists and designers to identify and track key KPIs for digital and social experience personas, stories, components and journeys.
  • Collaborate day-to-day with digital and social content producers and UI/UX team to optimize reporting roadmap against priorities.
  • Conduct ongoing analyses of target audiences across digital and social experiences.
  • Define best practice approaches for analyzing online user behavior, configuring analytics technology, and interpreting data to optimize content success.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Deep knowledge and experience using platforms such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, AdWords and Web Analytics.
  • Possesses strong working knowledge of all aspects of social media, and a deep understanding of social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, etc.
  • Extremely comfortable with pulling and analyzing data to report on content/campaign performance.
  • Proven ability to develop strategies and inherent curiosity about audience behavior.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and the creativity to find and try new solutions.
  • Familiarity with SEM/SEO strategies.
  • Ability to think critically and make optimization decisions tied to data analytics.
  • Ability to present technical information to nontechnical audiences.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Practical knowledge and expertise of concepts, principles, and practices of visual content production, a general understanding of related disciplines, and general management principles.
  • Problem-solving skills involving analysis and interpretation, and innovation and creativity.
  • Ability to review the effectiveness of visual content projects and production, and ability to make necessary adjustments for continuous improvement.
