Position Summary | The Director of Development's focus is on securing private support for merit based scholarships used to recruit and retain the best and brightest students to the University of Arizona (UA). This position's focus is in direct alignment of the objectives outlined in Pillar 1 of the UA Strategic Plan. The Director of Development works in cooperation with UA Foundation's Leadership Teams and the Dean of the Honors College, as well as University Development Program (UDP) colleagues, including scholarship administration, foundation relations, gift planning, stewardship, events, and college based frontline fundraisers. The Director is a frontline fundraiser focused on the identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of prospective major gift ($25,000+) donors, including individuals, corporations, and foundations. Duties & Responsibilities | *Develop personalized strategies for all assigned donors and prospects which will build, maintain and enhance relationships while furthering donors' philanthropic objectives. |
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities | *Knowledge of federal and state laws pertaining to scholarships. |
Minimum Qualifications | *Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university program; AND, |
Preferred Qualifications | *Fund raising experience in a higher education setting. |
