Job Description

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

The VP, General Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, controlling and leading all day to day operations of Fluoresco Services, a division of Everbrite, LLC. Accountable for divisional revenue, cost, and operating profit of divisional P&L.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Manage financial performance of division to meet or exceed budgetary goals developed in collaboration with corporate management.
  2. Effectively execute strategies, plans and operations of division developed in collaboration with corporate management.
  3. Manage and support multi-site Branch Managers to ensure each branch meets or exceed branch objectives. Provide training, direction and support to all divisional employees on their assigned job responsibilities.
  4. Oversee all sales & marketing operations of division in support of achieving revenue goals. Builds company image by building strong relationships with customers, government, community organizations, and employees.
  5. Ensure employees maintain highest level of professionalism and competence in their work operations enforcing ethical business practices.
  6. Ensure strong and professional HR operations including strong recruiting, selection, orientation and training programs and strong processes for communicating expectations, evaluating employee performance and providing appropriate feedback.
  7. Maintain positive and achievement oriented working environment for employees.
  8. Manage administrative, logistics, IT, and financial services to support corporate operations.
  9. Establish and enforce corporate policies and procedures to meet business objectives. Ensure division is in compliance with all Everbrite policies and procedures.
  10. Communicate effectively with other Everbrite operations and corporate staff to promote a collaborative and harmonious relationship between division and all operations of Everbrite.
  11. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
  12. Oversee all Lighting Estimating Processes & Service Contracts to ensure costs are current, consistent pricing, and achievement of divisional profitability goals.
  13. Ensure each branch assigns lighting and signage projects to Project Manager to lead the scope, schedule, and costs from job concept to installation. Ensure Project Manager performs weekly job walks to reconcile materials installed and labor times.
  14. Negotiate supplier terms and conditions including pricing, materials, etc and ensure all branches purchase from approved suppliers.
  15. Review each branch’s perpetual inventory reports and consolidate month end inventory report.  Responsible for year end physical inventory and preparation of final reports and variances with the goal of reducing inventory levels while maintaining adequate material supplies to service customers.
  16. Partner with Fleet Manager to oversee effective and efficient fleet operations for all Branches including but not limited to adequate staffing, managing routine and other fleet maintenance, maintaining licensing and current insurance coverage, maintaining log books and reports as required by D.O.T., new capital expenditures, fuel purchases and annual inspections, etc.
  17. Manages all branch invoicing and reporting, continually improves processes by identifying wastes and addressing abnormalities.
  18. Stay current with the latest developments in the sign and lighting industries and specific job related techniques and knowledge through reading, attendance at seminars, and training classes.
  19. Provide professional management and leadership development to Branch Managers through regularly scheduled WebEx conferences, quarterly Branch Manager Meetings, formal education and daily communication.
  20. Participate in identifying and qualifying companies for strategic acquisitions and assimilation. 
  21. Any other duties required in support of the division and company 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field. MBA preferred

EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of Five (5) years in the sign, lighting, or related construction industry with combination of sales and operations management experience.
  • Must possess valid drivers license in state where employed with a driving record acceptable to Fluoresco insurance carriers.
  • Possess good organizational, planning and problems solving skills. 
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; understand, speak, read, and write in English language
  • Ability to communicate and develop positive relationships in a multi-cultural setting
  • Strong analytical, numerical, financial and reasoning abilities.
  • Proven team building, problem solving and project management skills; sound, reliable judgment, and high ethical standards
  • Ability to establish credibility with employees, vendors, and customers
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite and various MRP
